The learning journey

From first word to fluent legend

SpeakLegends turns learning into a daily adventure in six simple steps — and your golden dragon is with you for every one of them.

  1. Pick your language

Choose from Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese and more. Tell us why you are learning — travel, work, family or just for fun — so the path fits your goal from day one.

  2. Take a 2-minute placement

New to the language? Start at the very beginning. Already know some? A short placement check jumps you straight to the right unit so you are never bored or lost.

  3. Learn in five-minute lessons

Each day you get a short, focused lesson. Bite-size sets keep it doable on any schedule — the goal is a small win every single day, not a marathon once a month.

  4. Practise four ways

Every lesson mixes listening to native audio, speaking out loud, matching pairs and translating full sentences — so the language sticks from every angle, not just one.

  5. Review & keep your streak

A spaced-repetition engine resurfaces words right before you would forget them, and your streak flame plus weekly leagues turn “tomorrow” into a habit you actually keep.

  6. Level up your dragon

Every lesson earns XP and grows your golden dragon. It cheers your wins, celebrates finished units and evolves the longer your streak lasts — your progress, made visible.

Why it works

Small steps, proven to last

The method is simple on purpose. Short daily reps, spaced review and a companion that makes you want to come back — that is what turns a good intention into a language you actually speak.

Tiny daily wins

Five minutes a day beats five hours once a month. Consistency is the whole secret, so we make it effortless.

Review that fits forgetting

Spaced repetition shows each word right before you would lose it — so learning compounds instead of leaking away.

A reason to return

Streaks, leagues and a dragon that reacts give your brain a daily reason to come back. Motivation, built in.
